Home in the Mountains

Lucky enough to be recommended by a good friend on the availability of Dzachusama Hostel & Cafe. Arriving in Ganzi after a long road trip, we entered the hostel to a vision of wonderfulness. Large garden and a warm welcome from Nate, Karla, Malagai and Kye. So helpful with all our requests and true experts on the local scene.

We booked for 1 night and stayed for 4. This was the perfect spot to spend our comfort time at and a superb base while we explored the surrounding areas.

Incredible homemade bread and bagels! Pizza! We sat on the balcony enjoying the wonder view, watching the clouds roll down the mountain valley.

Jeff creating on the coffee bar, was always accommodating and you could tell the cafe had a great local reputation with the amount of students, families and occasional wandering foreigners who made an appearance.

Hot Water showers in spacious bath area was a great end to a day on horseback at Manakanga Lake (80minutes away by car) and a comfy bunk bed in a 4 bed dorm room was the ticket to dreamland. We also tried the 3 bed sharing room, perfect for a family. There is also a double room for the couples. Lovely sitting area and a great looking wood and glass cupboard with a diverse choice of books; travel, knowledge and literary. Love those homely touches. WiFi. yup..you betcha...

I hope you can experience such a groovy hostel and have to say I'll be singing the praises for months to anyone I know venturing close to Ganzi.

Bless ya'll in this wonderful home and best wishes for the future. thank you!
