A Little Piece of Heaven in Tibet

I've been to DzachuSama Hostel twice this summer. It's a beautiful place with a stunning view of Garze, the temples around it and the mountains to the south. I staying in the dorm room which is quiet and dark, good for sleeping. I've gotten a sensitive stomach in my travels on this trip in Asia so having clean, well cooked familiar food was a real plus. They make their own yoghurt which I had with the muesli for breakfast. Also good tea, pizza, great chocolate cake. It was all yummy.

The place is also a cafe where local people come, especially on weekends, which I liked. Less of a foreigner's ghetto feeling. The place is owned and run by two Americans, Nate Jeff and their friends and family. Including some lovely kids around and about.

Really clean with good lighting, hot showers, the whole works very nicely built out in a traditional Tibetan house. I stayed in one the dorm rooms and found the bunks fit my large frame nicely. They also have great touches like built in power outlets for charging phones, reading lights and a curtain to draw closed for privacy.

A great place to stay on my travels in the uplands of Sichuan province. A nice way to balance out the more spartan conditions of small town hotels here.
